His passing has brought deep sadness to the communities he served, where his generosity, humor, and steadfast character were known and admired.

Engbarth was born and raised in South Dakota, where he developed a strong work ethic and a passion for community engagement. After graduating from high school, he pursued a career in agriculture, becoming a well-known and trusted figure in his field. Whether through his professional work, volunteer efforts, or civic involvement, Engbarth made lasting contributions that helped strengthen the communities he called home.
